We are waiting for answers from a God Who is full of great compassion, greatly faithful, and timely. Our answers come early during some seasons of our lives, and not so quickly in other seasons. For anyone who has ever prayed and waited for an answer, this collection of prayers, meditations, and laments will strengthen a renewed committment to wait, trust, and believe. The one constant on which we can depend is that God never has been nor ever will be an indifferent, uncaring or distant parent, He will always be near. He will never leave us undefended. He will always give an answer.

Mari Fitz-Wynn is an award-winning author of four creative nonfiction books, with a number of published short essays and poems. A United Arts Literary Grant recipient, Mari teaches virtual writing classes for the Muse Writers Center and presented a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya, for the Writers Guild-Kenya in 2024.

Nicki Black has been a graphic artist since 1996. Nicki is also a fine artist specializing in pencil sketch, encaustic, acrylic/mixed media, watercolor, and handprinted jewelry. Her focus in college was pen & ink drawing, printmaking. Nicki has designed numerous book and album covers for various authors and recording artists across the country.
