October in Ocean City—the beaches are empty, the sunrises are dramatic, and there’s something sinister blowing in the wind.

“This charming cozy mystery brings the Jersey Shore to life in all its moods. A perfect book to curl up with.”
— Nev March, author of the award-winning Murder in Old Bombay

Meet Nathan Poe, a retired English teacher with a famous last name, two nosy neighbors, and a knack for solving oddball cases. His ersatz private investigations agency, “Small Mysteries,” may be little more than a guest room filled with scholarly volumes, but when a series of cryptic riddles begins arriving, Nathan can’t resist playing along. As these anonymous notes take on darker questions about the life and death of Edgar Allan Poe, Nathan finds himself drawn into a game he hadn’t signed up for.

Enlisting the help of Berni, a fiercely loyal friend with a bike shop and a glass half-full attitude, plus the reluctant Patrolman Bob, Nathan races to unmask this Poe Puzzler before the next riddle turns deadly. Someone knows all about Nathan’s past regrets, and they’re itching to make him suffer for them.

Atmospheric, witty, and both humorous and hair-raising, The Poe Puzzler is a mystery for lovers of bookish sleuths and seaside secrets. Click to buy now, and join Nathan and his friends as they try to outsmart his nemesis.
