When people think of the topic of Christian apologetics, they are generally thinking almost exclusively of arguing from a defensive posture. This involves providing counter arguments to the attacks of those who think the Christian faith is outdated, mythological, or simply false. There is certainly no shortage of people who do not believe the Christian faith is intellectually defensible, and who attack it in an attempt to demonstrate its inferiority. Freddy Davis asserts that Christians must not cower in the face of those who have bought into the beliefs of secular society. Rather, they should go on the offensive as a means of demonstrating that the Christian faith is true.

Everyone who criticizes the Christian faith does so from the platform of their own belief foundation. And the fact is, all other beliefs have their own critical flaws. Critics should be required to demonstrate that their beliefs are true before being allowed to criticize the Christian faith as false. Assaulting the Truth Mirage shares how Christians can go on the offence as a means of defending the Christian faith. This methodology puts a whole new twist on Christian apologetics.
