UNKNOWN

THREE WOMEN VANISH WITHOUT A TRACE. THE MOUNTAINS ARE SILENT. BUT THE DARKNESS IS WATCHING.
Twenty years ago, Mallory Crane fled Blackwater Ridge, desperate to escape her mother’s paranoid warnings about the unseen evil lurking in their town. Since then, she’s built a career on facts over fear, trading superstition for evidence as an FBI agent.

But when three women vanish without a trace in Blackwater Ridge, Mallory volunteers to take the case. It’s her chance to settle unfinished business—with her mother, with the town, and with the legends that still hold its people captive. She’ll prove once and for all that folklore has no place in a criminal investigation.

To do that, she has to work with Sheriff Garrett Cole—the boy she left behind so many years ago. Unlike Mallory, Garrett doesn’t dismiss the town’s whispered lore. He’s lived in Blackwater Ridge long enough to know some things defy explanation.

As the investigation unearths buried secrets, Mallory is forced to question everything she believes. And the deeper they dig, the more she wonders if her mother’s fears were justified.

Faced with the ghosts of her past, the pressure to find the missing women, and a web of ancestral secrets stretching back centuries, this may be the most difficult case of Mallory’s career.

But Blackwater Ridge isn’t just hiding its secrets—it’s protecting them. And this time, Mallory might not escape at all. Because in the Appalachian Mountains, the darkness isn’t just folklore. It’s real.

A gripping blend of mystery and suspense, The Darkness in Blackwater Ridge pulls you into a world where the past never stays buried… and the truth is more terrifying than the myths.
