In this bold and thought-provoking work, Garrett Parrish takes on the widespread belief that we are living in the end times, drawing directly from Matthew 24 to argue that such views stem from misguided interpretations of Scripture. Through a detailed, verse-by-verse breakdown of the chapter, Parrish reveals how events like wars, earthquakes, persecution, the abomination of desolation, and the great tribulation were fulfilled in the first century, particularly around the destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. He critiques prominent Christian leaders for promoting futurism and dispensationalism, which he sees as an "evil report" that has paralyzed the church from its true calling: to exercise dominion over the nations through the Great Commission and the Gospel's transformative power. Blending personal stories from his faith journey, including influences from figures like Chuck Smith and John Wimber, with sharp biblical analysis, Parrish calls believers to embrace a kingdom-now mindset, reject false prophecies, and pursue maturity in Christ. An addendum defends the continuation of spiritual gifts today, urging readers to question traditions and align with God's plan for victory and rule. This book is a rallying cry for those seeking freedom from fear-based eschatology and a deeper commitment to scriptural truth.
