The 5 Knots: A Guide to Being-Centred Therapy introduces an innovative framework for therapists and coaches seeking to integrate spiritual depth with professional practice. Drawing on decades of teaching, clinical experience, and research, Claus Springborg, PhD, presents a model that identifies five recurring patterns - the "knots" - that draw our awareness away from Being and deepen human suffering.
This book shows how these knots can be recognised, explored, and untied in therapeutic settings, transforming them from obstacles into guides. Rich with case examples, step-by-step processes, and contemplative exercises, The 5 Knots offers practitioners practical tools to help clients reconnect with the inherent joy, peace, and fulfilment available in every moment.
Written as a professional training resource, the book is particularly suited for continuing education in psychotherapy and coaching. It bridges contemporary psychology with insights from contemplative traditions, making the wisdom of Being accessible in language compatible with both scientific and spiritual perspectives.
Whether you are a psychotherapist, coach, or advanced student of personal development, The 5 Knots provides a comprehensive and rigorous guide to incorporating awareness of Being into your work-deepening therapeutic effectiveness and enriching the path of personal transformation.
