Rae is no ordinary seven-year-old: she lives with her parents and a team of scientists in a hidden base inside a lunar crater. Together they journey across the great crater and into ancient lava tubes, where Rae makes a special discovery to take back to Georgie as a surprise. A fan of space-themed TV shows and movies since he was a kid, Eric has always marveled at the beauty of a full Moon on a clear night. His enthusiasm for stories about space exploration and the idea of off-world colonies inspired Girl on the Moon, which he hopes may cultivate an interest in science and discovery among young readers, including his daughter (who inspired the central character- Rae.) When he isn't imagining new adventures in the heavens, the author enjoys spending free time with his daughter and their dog, Frida, writing and recording songs, and tinkering with broken things (sometimes he even fixes them!).
