Tides of Resilience is a raw, unforgettable memoir of survival, trauma, and the long road to healing.

From the sun-soaked beaches of Thailand to the shadowy corners of addiction and grief, John Bromfield retraces his journey through the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami — a moment that changed everything. What begins as a tale of travel and friendship becomes a harrowing account of disaster, guilt, and the quiet devastation that follows survival.

Told with brutal honesty and flashes of unexpected humour, this is a story about confronting the past, making peace with memory, and discovering that resilience doesn’t mean being unbreakable — it means learning how to rebuild
