The quest to capture the witch is on hold-but the danger has only begun.

When elves Matthias and Xandria reach the fiery lands of the Medes, they expect a path forward. Instead, they find chaos. The volcanoes rage, the skies darken, and the proud Medes are split between rebels demanding escape and elites promising safety.

But the elites are hiding the truth. They serve the god Marcamples, who seeks to imprison the Soul Chaser-an ancient being of immense power-using the fragments of a mysterious purple cube. As the ash thickens and tempers flare, a sinister plan unfolds: enslave the Medes with a mind-altering "vaccine" and prepare the world for Marcamples' rule.

Caught in the middle of divine schemes and erupting volcanoes, Matthias and Xandria must uncover the god's secrets before the Medes are destroyed-and before Marcamples claims ultimate power.

A battle of gods is coming. And two elves may be the only ones standing in the way.

Nate Foy is an author from Northern NY.

He started writing his first stories when he was 12 in 1989. At the age of 16, he began writing poetry. It wasn't until 2005 that he formulated a plan to write his first novel, "Conspiracy of Deception." Seven years later, he had it published.

His second novel was originally called "The Experiment." However, he didn't find that to be a catchy title, so he changed it to "Prelude to Ragnarok."

After that, he put together a book with a compilation of his poetry. He tried to find what he felt his best and most meaningful poetry was, and he put it together in a book called "Joyous Melancholy."

As he continued with his writings, he wanted to go in a more fantasy direction since fantasy is his favorite genre to read. At first, he was going to make it into a children's book, but then he decided it was more for young adults and older. This is when he put together "Curse of Kredaria," which he released in 2019.

His latest book combines fantasy with the real world. He decided to make the setting local and base it on a few legends in his area, such as this vortex that is supposedly at the park in the city he lives. That is how he came up with "A Crossing of Portals."
