Whether a child or adult? This book is for you!

Abigail’s Song Coloring/Activity Book is a companion to the beloved children’s picture book Abigail’s Song For Parents/Caregivers: A Guide to Understanding Nonverbal Children with Autism. Also immersed in vivid colors while evoking nostalgia of its companion picture book, this coloring/activity book creates interactive moments between adult and child.

Whether on the spectrum or not, child or adult, this book will make you smile and offer gentle tools to better understand nonverbal children. Let's embrace Abigails journey through love, inclusion, communication and art.

For children and adults with autism, especially those who are nonverbal or have limited expressive language, coloring these scenes provides more than artistic play. Each page encourages self-expression while reinforcing the book’s themes of acceptance and belonging.

For parents, caregivers, educators, this coloring book offers a powerful tool for bonding and socio-emotional growth. Adults can rediscover calm, mindfulness, and joy while coloring or doodling alongside a child; sometimes connecting without words, but in deeply meaningful ways. In the classroom, these illustrations can spark conversations about emotions, inclusion, and the diverse ways children experience the world.

Whether enjoyed at home, school, therapy, or as part of a learning activity, the Abigail’s Song Coloring/Activity Book is both fun and healing.

As a Registered Nurse and dedicated mother of a nonverbal child with autism, I understand how vital compassion and communication are whether in healthcare or at home. My experience in patient care has strengthened my belief that listening with empathy and leading with patience can truly transform lives. These same principles guide me as a parent, reminding me that love, reflection, and consistency create the strongest foundation for growth.Through Abigails Song Coloring/Activity Book, I hope to help other parents, caregivers, therapists, librarians, etc. create a interactive, safe, nurturing space where special needs children feel valued, supported, and free to explore their greatest potential through play. This book expands the message of inclusivity through art, games and discussions while providing moments of self reflection and self care for the adult. As with its companion hardcover, Abigail's Song For Parents/Caregivers: A Guide to Understanding Nonverbal Children with Autism, this coloring/activity book is not just a gentle guide, it's a reflection of my journey, written to inspire hope, inclusion, and empowerment in every family's story.
