Cast, Miss, Repeat.
Welcome to the Great American Sport of False Confidence.

A Dumb Bass Fishing Guide isn't a manual-it's a field report from the shallow end of human optimism. Written by a man who mistakes chaos for strategy, it's part sermon, part survival log, and 100 percent too wet-proof that with every cast, fate makes sure at least one dumb bass gets hooked on the experience.

From ramp disasters and gear worship to tournament heartbreaks and "scientific" moon-phase theories, this book drags you through every glorious misstep the weekend angler can make. You'll meet the friends, the rivals, the snacks, and the delusions that power a thousand empty coolers.

Equal parts confession and comedy, A Dumb Bass Fishing Guide celebrates the truth every fisherman eventually learns: the real catch is humility-and it usually gets away first.

Michael P. Clutton has been creating stories and art since he could hold a pencil. What began with cartoons and short fiction grew into a lifelong pursuit of finding the absurd, the heartfelt, and the quietly human in every idea he touches.

Known for his dry humor and wry take on life, Clutton blends imagination, wit, and emotional honesty across genres-from comedy and sci-fi to horror, literary fiction, and even the occasional tongue-in-cheek how-to guide. His work invites readers to laugh, think, and occasionally wince in recognition.

He lives in Southwest Florida with his wife, where inspiration comes as easily as the humidity. When he's not writing, he's probably drawing, fishing, or pretending his poker face still works.
