A musician by choice.

A protector by nature.

Cops and deer. Her mama always told people Raina could sense them before she saw them. So the day Raina was heading into town and sensed a cop ahead, she wasn't surprised to see one working a traffic stop. But never in her wildest dreams could she sense that traffic stop would turn into her own personal nightmare.

Attempting to save the life of a defenseless deputy, Raina nearly lost her own in a short but brutal attack. As she recuperates, the life she knew and loved is systemically being taken away from her by those she thwarted. Now she must dig deep inside herself for the courage to not only survive, but to forge a new life in case she did.

Assigned to Raina's case, Detective Channion Scott had a solid reputation for solving crimes. Soon turning into her personal bodyguard, Channion wonders how was he to solve his attraction to the courageous woman who'd risked her life to save another's?

As an Award-Winning and Best-Selling author, I have often used quotes for inspiration and motivation. Maybe even for direction.

One of my all-time favorites is:

"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'WOW-what a ride!'" Hunter S. Thompson

This has been a quote and sentiment I've lived by for nearly three decades...even before I knew who even said it! And to complement it, my own lifelong core belief is simple: "How is one to know what they are good at, what they like or don't like, or what they can do, if they never try and do it?"

So I go out and do it.

Having these two main thoughts taking up space in my head has led me on many interesting paths all across North America from central Mexico to Canada, Maine to Washington, Texas to Alaska...and even into the oceans. I've been in every US state except Hawaii (gotta sell some books!!)--most of them numerous times.

Now I'm writing about my real-life experiences in these places while weaving in some fiction so I don't get sued.

A lifelong equestrian, I began riding horses at age 4 and have decades working with them in about every capacity. I'm an absolute animal lover, both wild and domestic.

While not on social media at this time (except new accounts on Pinterest & YouTube), I'd still love and appreciate hearing (positive things) from you! Please send me a note via my website and brighten my day.

While you're there, be sure to subscribe to my FREE e-newsletter. You'll get a FREE character backstory when you do. And who doesn't like free stuff? I typically send out only 1-2 per month, so I won't flood your inbox. Well, unless something really exciting happens!!

Of course, online reviews with honest feedback are incredibly appreciated (and very much needed) as well. So could I ask you for a favor? Just pop online to rate my wonderful books?

If you just don't know what to write, you can also simply rate it with those pretty GOLD stars! It can't get much easier than that. Thank you in advance.

Happy trails,

Jordan
