A sexy fireman. One smokin’ hot hookup. Sparks of passion ignite...

Four generations of firefighters in his family make Captain Damon Amaro a legacy member—a prestigious status handed down to him only because of his name. A legacy he’d rather he didn’t have, but familial obligations have always been his downfall.

Struggling with the fact that his older brother is currently on trial for multiple arson and murder charges, Damon turns to less-than-savory extracurricular activities to help him cope. Even his best friend has no idea about the secrets he’s been hiding.

After changing his name to escape the shame of his father’s misdeeds, Cyrus MacMillan is the newest firefighter at Station Twenty-One. He joined the fire department in an attempt to right the cosmic wrongs his father committed, and now he just hopes that information stays buried.

Trust is a difficult thing for Cyrus, so when Damon and he connect on a level beyond his wildest dreams, he knows it probably won’t last long. Especially when his past is suddenly made public.

Damon believes the sins of the father should never be cast on the son, and he supports Cy in his goals, even if it means keeping their budding relationship on the down-low while Cy finishes his rookie days at the firehouse. Both men have baggage they have to overcome, but in the end, they believe they are better together.

Can Damon and Cy have a future together, or will continuing their relationship have repercussions neither of them can live with?

Trigger Warnings: Arson, Death, Murder, Assault, negative past history with sex (historical grooming mention), kinklite, drugs and drug use.

While this book can be read standalone, it is strongly recommended that you read Book 1: Hawke first to get the primary villain’s backstory.

The men in this book initially appear to have a harsh and dysfunctional non-relationship, which may make this a difficult read for some, but in fact, nothing could be further from the truth. As secrets are revealed, so too will the truth behind the actions. This book is intense and filled with a significant amount of drama, no doubt about that! I do hope you enjoy.
