folio (41.5 x 30cm), [36pp.], photographs and illustrations, fold-out map to rear, pictorial paper covers. Contents good on the whole, but the pages are worn and creased and many are quite grubby. Staples rusted. Covers are tatty and marked with wear to the edges, including numerous small closed tears. The covers are loose from the top staple. A monthly propaganda magazine, written in English, published to advertise the industrial, cultural and political prowess of the Soviet Union before, during and just after the Second World War. Each issue has a specific theme and contains numerous photographs by well known Soviet photographers. It seems publication of the magazine started in 1930 and finished in 1949. This issue, No. 10, concentrates on hunting and the production of animal products. Seller Inventory # 3543

A member of the Provincial Booksellers Fairs Association (PBFA), I have been a nearly full time bookseller since the mid 2000s working from home in Bristol. I concentrate on books on transport (mainly railways), industrial history, maritime, topography, the Beatles & other groups from the 1960s and interesting ephemera. I particularly specialise in official publicity of the British railway companies. I sell on ABE, on eBay under the moniker 'mr.publicity' and at book and transport collectors' fairs. I keep a modest stock of quality material which is constantly changing - I spend a good deal of my time travelling around the UK seeking out and acquiring new stock.
