About the Author
Richard Carleton Hacker is one of the world's foremost authorities on the subjects of cigars and cigar smoking. He is the author of The Ultimate Cigar Book, now in its third edition and the book that is generally credited with having helped start the cigar boom. He is personally acquainted with all of the major cigar-making companies and their executives throughout the world, as well as knowing most of the smaller manufacturers and cigar-making families. In addition, he has personally visited cigar factories and tobacco farms in every major geographic area, including Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Europe. His in-depth knowledge has resulted in the author serving as cigar consultant for corporations and the entertainment industry. He is also a popular keynote speaker at cigar night "smokers."
His numerous television, radio, and newspaper interviews have made Richard Carleton Hacker an international spokesman for cigar smokers throughout the world.
