Ultionis

‘So we stand here—condemned men far from home. But one thing has not changed. We stand together.’ The Eternal City is held tightly in the corrupt grip of Marcus Albus, the tyrannical Consul of Rome. But far away, at the furthest reaches of the Empire, a man he thought dead inches his way back home. Titus, the greatest general that Rome ever produced. Dishonoured, tortured, and abandoned, he seeks only revenge. But first, he has to cross the war-torn province of Asia Minor. Meanwhile, in Rome itself, a dark shadow is rising in the depths, ready to take his own vengeance. But his only chance of success lies in an alliance with a murderous Slave girl, a girl who had everything taken from her by Titus. The sequel to 2012’s Sacramentum and 2014’s Impietas—the rousing final part of the ‘Decline and Fall’ trilogy takes the action to the sand blasted dunes of Asia Minor, as the Roman war machine carves its way into the rebellious province. An epic, character-driven novel, Ultionis is a page-turning thriller, and a thought-provoking examination of the depths of revenge.
