Item description from seller

First (authorized) American Edition in the presumed first state dust jacket with the designer's name along the leading edge of the front panel. Minor cloth foxing; very nearly fine in a dust jacket with minor wear. Review copy; the publisher's review slip describing the court victory that enabled its publication, as well as noting the designer, and with a photograph of the author issued by this publisher. While the book was pirated in America a few years earlier, this edition prints a new foreword, the court ruling, and a 1932 letter from Joyce to Cerf introducing this edition. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted. All books described as first editions are first printings unless otherwise noted.
