About the AuthorDR. UDO A. OTUMMKPO was originally born and raised in Ikot Ekpene in Akwa Ibom State in Nigeria. He is one of the six children born to Chief Elder Akpan and Madam Deaconess Adiaha Offong Otummkpo. After graduating high school from Hope Waddell Institute, Calabar, he worked as a Senior Science Teacher for three years teaching fourth, fifth, and sixth graders. After his further studies at Teacher Training College, Ibakachi, Ikono, he obtained his Associates degree in education and a Grade 2-Pivotal Teaching Certification and taught six graders for five years. In 1977 he received and accepted God's calling on his life as an Elder and a Senior Pastor. He ministered in The Chosen Church of Christ of Nigeria, Ntong Unoh for five years before traveling to the United States for further studies in the early eighties. While in the States, he ministered in the Sanctified Mount Zion Church in Atlanta as the Sunday school, Bible Study, and Midweek Intercessory Prayer director for eight years. He also served in the Board of Trustees and as the Church Treasurer during those years. Later, he contributed and supported the planting of The Apostolic Church in Atlanta, USA, where he served as the Bible Study director for two years, laying a solid biblical and spiritual foundation for the much anticipated growth. He recently received directions from the Lord to establish a bible teaching ministry which he did by the name: The Truth Must Be Told Int'l Ministry Inc., USA.He currently holds five academic degrees: A Ed - An Associate degree in education as a pivotal teacher, BA - A Bachelor of Art in Geography/Urban planning, M Ed - Master of Art in Education/adult instructions, M Div - Master of Divinity in Ministry, and Ph D - Doctor of Philosophy in Theology. He is a Christian author and an educator.He currently resides in the Atlanta area with his lovely wife - Baseda and their three children - Eddie, Mickey, and Inem.
