Unchained

The chains may be broken, but many believers still live as if they are bound.

Unchained: Freed to Be His Treasure is a powerful Christian nonfiction book that addresses one of the most common struggles in the Christian life: identity confusion. While salvation brings forgiveness, many believers continue to carry shame, fear, comparison, and false labels formed by past experiences. This book explores why those internal chains persist—and how biblical truth brings lasting freedom.

Through Scripture-centered teaching, real-life examples, and clear spiritual insight, Kirkland M. Rite leads readers on a journey of rediscovering who they are in Christ. The book examines the contrast between the old nature and the new nature, helping readers understand what truly changed at salvation and what must be intentionally renewed. It confronts the internal narratives that shape self-perception and replaces them with God’s perspective of sonship, belonging, and purpose.

Unchained addresses themes that affect believers at every stage of faith, including identity, shame, spiritual growth, freedom, and maturity. Readers will learn how comparison, performance-based thinking, and worldly systems distort identity, and how God’s system restores it. The book emphasizes that freedom is not earned through effort or religious performance, but received through truth and lived out through renewal of the mind.

This book is structured to guide readers through foundational questions such as:

• Who am I in Christ?

• What was I created for?

• Why do past failures still affect me?

• How do I walk in freedom instead of guilt or fear?

• What does it mean to live from my new nature?

Written for individual readers, small groups, and church discipleship settings, Unchained offers both teaching and practical application. It is suitable for new believers seeking clarity as well as mature Christians desiring deeper spiritual growth and restoration.

If you have struggled with shame, identity confusion, or feeling disconnected from the freedom promised in Scripture, Unchained provides a clear, biblical path toward renewal. This book invites readers to step out of false identities, embrace their God-given design, and live confidently as sons and daughters who are truly free.
