This story even includes a little bit of history about Dalmatians and why they make such great fire dogs. The first two stops turn out to be disappointing as there are no Dalmatians to be found. But at the third stop, they meet the perfect dog, Sparky, who was rescued. This story includes the same charm and fun illustrations that I loved about the first two books. I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review which I have given. I love the interaction that Uncle Rocky has with his two nephews, Like and Ben. The friendship and respect that the three of them have for each other is heartwarming. Uncle Rocky involves his nephews in his search for a Dalmatian for his firehouse while also teaching them (and me) about the history of the Dalmatian. They must find a fire dog for the station. I love that the story gives a little history of why Dalmatians are usually associated with firefighters. I didn't even know the reasons until I read the book. I was also glad that Sparky is a rescue dog. That makes the story all that much more endearing. If you haven't read any of the Uncle Rocky Fireman books, you really need to pick them up. They are really fun. I loved the that rocky interacts with his 2 nephews Ben And Luke. their mission was to find a Dalmatian dog and they found Sparky. I like the way that the author uses each one of the nephews to feel special. That is the way they should feel. The illustrations in the book are wonderful.
