An original order form from The Reprint Society for My Uncle Silas, a book of short stories about a bucolic elderly Bedfordshire man, written by Herbert Ernest Bates, a British writer known for his gritty, realistic short stories and novels. Advertised with original illustrations from Edward Jeffrey Irving Ardizzone, a British painter, printmaker and war artist, and the author and illustrator of books, many of them for children. This form includes an extract taken from the author's preface as well as reviews of the volume. The original paper form. In excellent condition with no markings or wear. Fine.
