Most people believe that the ultimate goal in life is happiness. You may be unaware that your lifelong search for happiness has been fueled by a deep-down, often subconscious hunger for what the Bible calls joy. No one can be happy all of the time, but anyone can always have joy. In fact, according to the apostle Paul, it is God's will for you to "Be joyful always" (1 Thessalonians 5:16). In a world constantly bombarding us with a message that the dysfunctional life is the norm, you can have the confidence of following seven clear, biblical steps to emotional health, spiritual well-being, and unconditional joy. Why settle for happiness when you can have unconditional joy? Dr. Nowell explains how you can get it, have it, and keep it!

About the Author
Dr. Glenn Nowell was ordained as a Southern Baptist minister on his twenty-first birthday in 1973 in Alabama, where he held his first pastorate. He graduated from Troy State University and earned graduate degrees from Stamford University, Lael College, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He also studied in Oxford England and at the University of Louisville, and earned certification in clinical pastoral education at Baptist Hospital East, Louisville. Dr. Nowell adopted Louisville, Kentucky as his home before entering the United States Air Force as a chaplain, and returned to Louisville upon his retirement from active duty in 1996.As a chaplain, his reliance upon the Beatitudes, in the treatment of a variety of psychological disorders, produced phenomenal success.
