Uncovered (Unlikely Series)

Lives depend on keeping secrets buried. He just started digging...
Eddie Mackey was busy defending his country when his estranged wife supposedly committed suicide. A year later, he has a new mission: taking down her murderer. And he knows just where to start: the New York City photojournalist who filmed his wife’s last words. Except Miranda Hill won’t betray the secrets of the dead, especially when she has to protect the living. Not to mention, a terrifying accident left her with wicked PTSD. The last thing she needs is a determined marine jeopardizing her hard-won stability.
When Eddie’s investigation puts Miranda’s life in danger, he appoints himself the gorgeous woman’s bodyguard. In close proximity, sparks fly even as it becomes clear they are embroiled in something far more sinister than they’d imagined. Soon higher stakes erode the tenuous trust Eddie and Miranda have built. With a killer determined to keep secrets buried, the only way to win is to dig deep—both inside and out—to uncover the truth, expose evil, and deliver justice.

This is a compelling, fast-paced, sexy forced-proximity, bodyguard story with a hunky, military hero determined to right the past and an independent, urban woman who must overcome her past in order to fight for the future. There’s buried secrets, shifty politics, missing persons, and danger at every turn.
