Under the Cold Prairie Moon

Rear back and kick off your boots. Dry your socks by the campfire. Boil up some coffee and settle in with the very best western short stories being written today. Ride alongside Ginger Strivelli, Elizabeth Fackler, Rebecca Foster, Diane Parilla, Denise F. McAllister, Barlow Crassmont, Albert Morrow, and Abigail Dotzler, and listen close to the sounds of plains and mountains, rivers and whispering pines.

Walk with an aged Hopi magic worker as she prepares her people for her death and chooses the one who will replace her. Watch an abusive son and brother driven from his mother's home, aided by an ex-cop weighing her own uncertain future. Follow two brothers riding hard toward New Orleans, desperate to rescue a kidnapped wife. Stand with a lady stranger defending a blind man's land from claim jumpers. Escort a surveyor's wagon to the next fort beside a sergeant forced to decide whether promotion is worth re-enlistment.

Whatever kind of western story calls to you, you'll find it here in Under the Cold Prairie Moon, brought to you by the one and only Saddlebag Dispatches.
