Under the Desk (Hardback or Cased Book)

Bryan Marks delivers an unabashedly emotional tale of his and his family's positive, negative, and ugly events of living through a stroke with the hidden disabilities and the unknown consequences of having a brain injury. His temperament and behavior completely changed the very being of who he is, dramatically affecting his family's emotional well-being and stability. Mr. Marks discusses not only the apparent disabilities, but the hidden disabilities of personality changes, temperament changes, and emotional behavioral changes as well. He writes with a heartfelt desire to thoughtfully help others in a meaningful manner, using a mixture of humor to remind us to laugh, which is indeed the best medicine.

This book will shed some light on potential personality changes a survivor may experience and, hopefully, inspire further research, conversation, and the desire to delve into this area of stroke damage. If you, a loved one, or a friend have ever experienced a stroke, this book is necessary reading for you.

Bryan Marks served our great country for thirty-three plus years in Iraq, Afghanistan, Yemen, and other regions within the Middle East and Europe. He and his wife, Abbey, now reside in South Carolina.
