Each turn of a transparent plastic page reveals a new world of surprises beneath gardens, forests, and riverbanks--and even in caves--in a book about life underground
Reviews:
PreSchool-Grade 2-Two series entries that will pique the curiosities of young children. The spiral-bound format with its heavy slick pages and transparent overlays that further the discovery of "what's underneath" is attractive. The brightly painted illustrations show nature at its best. Text is minimal, used mainly to garner interest and as captions to the pictures. The Seashore introduces the different types of organisms found in tide pools. Under the Ground introduces wildlife ranging from moles to ants, as well as animals that live underground in different ecosystems such as the desert or a river bank. Two excellent introductions to nature.
