Understand Your Border Collie: A Breed-Specific Training Approach for Perfect Pet Behaviour

Border Collie specific training advice from breed specialist Sarah Hedderly.

Do you ever feel that every body else's dog is better behaved than yours? Were you led to believe that Border Collies were so intelligent and easy to train that yours must be the odd one out?

The fact is Border Collies were bred to work and some struggle living in more urban environments if they don't receive the right training and understanding. They are intelligent and learn quickly but they learn both wanted and unwanted behaviours just as easily if we are not already one step ahead.

Most unwanted behaviour seen in this genius breed is due to what they were bred for. By understanding how your Border Collie sees the world training becomes much easier.

If you have ever said any of these things to yourself...

• I seem invisible to my dog as soon as we leave the house.
• I wish I felt safer on walks and I didn't have to hang on tight every time a car passes.
• It is so embarrassing when my dog reacts to dogs, children or joggers.
• I wish I could hoover without being attacked.
• I think he has a faulty off switch.

...then you can benefit from your Border Collie's translator Sarah Hedderly and the tips she has in store for you. In this book Sarah will help you understand the world through your Border Collie's eyes. She will explain what makes them unique from other dog breeds and why they sometimes struggle in urban environments.

Sarah will reveal practical strategies and exercises to help you get to know your Border Collie on a deeper level, prevent common issues occurring and teach you some of the essential foundation skills to help transform your working bred dog into the perfect pet.

Sarah works with clients from all over the world and has helped thousands of Border Collie owners transform their dogs behaviour so their wild child becomes their perfect companion.
