About the Author
Dr. Michael Ball started in the horse business grooming, riding and managing horses and worked professionally in the industry for six years before undertaking his medical studies. Today, he is a faculty member at Cornell University where he earned degrees in veterinary medicine and animal science, completed his residency in large animal internal medicine and requirements for a Master of Science degree in Pharmacology. A resident of Ithaca, New York, Dr. Ball wrote Understanding Equine First Aid and his wife, Dr. Christina Cable, is the author of Understanding the Foal.
