No one in this country is untouched by the impact of diversity. Yet, as diverse

diversity. As a nation, we are not well equipped to deal with the swirling

transitions that are converging on us on a daily basis because of the nature of

of educating employees on how to deal with the diversity of employees and

serve as a text for students and employees, this book has also been purchased by

individuals who just want to learn more about diversity for themselves.

About the Author

Dr. Leo Parvis is a Senior Instructor at Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. He teaches Cultural Diversity, Managing Diversity in the Workplace, and Global Studies. Dr. Parvis serves on the Chaska Human Rights Commission, the Board of Directors of the League of Minnesota Human Rights Commission, and is a member of the National Association for Multicultural Education, the National Association for Ethnic Studies and the International Leadership Institute.

He is also the diversity director for, and a partner in diversitypromotions.com, a new company dedicated to promoting diversity through the creation of a "Embrace Diversity" logo and product line and National Diversity Day celebration.  Dr. Parvis is also president of Embrace Publications & Consulting, which provides presentations, publications, and diversity training.

Dr. Parvis has a Ph.D. in Health and Human Services, and a M.A. in Geography and Political Science. He is available for consulting, presentations, and conducting seminars.
