Understanding Dementia is a one-of-a-kind activity book. It takes a modern approach to teaching children the basics of the disease while also arming them with the tools they need and encouraging them to recognize and share their emotions.

Through a series of activities – journaling, drawing, playing games, and more – your child will walk away from this book with a deeper understanding of what their loved one is going through. They’ll learn helpful tips about what to expect and how to better communicate with their loved one – all to help maintain and cherish the relationship they had before the disease progressed.

This book is made up of 12 Learn-and-Earn chapters. Each simplifies and explains a different aspect of dementia – from the early stage to the final stage – and each offers an interactive component that allows your child to learn by doing. As they complete each chapter, they will earn a badge, giving them an added sense of achievement.

The 12 Learn-and-Earn Chapters Are:
