The Unfinished Business of Opal Bloom

For famous virtuoso Opal Bloom, death isn't the final note—it's a jarring, off-key change in tempo. She wakes up in a strange realm of forgotten souls and unfinished business, only to be told she's "found lacking" and won't be admitted to Heaven. Her only hope seems to be in trusting an annoying receptionist and a master luthier who keep sending her on strange quests.

Opal's journey becomes a desperate, absurd act of redemption. She confronts the ghosts of her past (and a few who are just a little too alive), learns how to forgive, and transforms to be much better than she was on Earth.

Through it all, her deepest desire is to simply be reunited with her husband, Paul. But the road to reunion is fraught with peril and enough uncertainty to fill another lifetime.

Will Opal ever make it out of this peculiar new world, or is her song of redemption one she's destined to play forever?
