Original 1907 comic. Covers detached, edges chipped. Pages toned. Content include: The Cattle Mystery (by Norman Goddard; illustrated by Harry Lane) [Sexton Blake] ; Ching-Ching at School (by Anon). G. ** The Union Jack was launched by Alfred Harmsworth in 1894, and became one of the titles brought under the control of Harmsworth's Amalgamated Press Limited in 1901. The Union Jack Library Library (Halfpenny, first series) was published by the Amalgamated Press and ran from 28th April 1894 until 10th Oct 1903, a total of 494 issues. The second (New) series was launched on 17th September 1903 and ran until 18th February 1933, a total of 1531 issues before being replaced by the Detective weekly. (Note there was an unrelated publication of the same name published by Samson Low that ran for 181 issues from 1880 to 1883). Seller Inventory # 45903
