No Union With Rome: An Anti-Eirenicon, Being An Answer To The Reunion Scheme Of Dr. Pusey (1866)

""No Union With Rome: An Anti-Eirenicon"" is a book written by Alessandro Gavazzi in 1866. It is a response to the ""Reunion Scheme"" proposed by Dr. Pusey, which aimed to reconcile the Church of England with the Roman Catholic Church. Gavazzi, a former Catholic priest who converted to Protestantism, argues against any form of union with Rome and presents a scathing critique of the Catholic Church. He accuses the Church of being corrupt, oppressive, and antithetical to true Christianity. Gavazzi's book is a passionate defense of Protestantism and a call to resist any attempts to compromise its principles. It is an important historical document that sheds light on the religious tensions of the 19th century and the debates surrounding the relationship between the Anglican and Catholic Churches. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
