Unknown Binding. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. This was a course taught by Professor Louis Ausander (1921-1997), Yale University, 1961-1962. Notes by Richard Beals. Ex UC Berkeley library book with usual library markings but virtually no wear. Binding is tight, text clean. Professor Auslander's contributions to pure mathematics came early in his career when he became a leading researcher in the field of group theory. In more recent decades, his interest focused on problems in applied mathematics. These included speeding up computations when dealing with signal-processing problems. Other areas of his work concerned radar, wave lengths and computational X-ray crystallography. In the course of his research, he did advanced work for both military and commercial use.
