History, before One Nation Earth (ONE), was declared to be contrary to a unified society and locked away in a mountain fortress in the District of Colorado. Time before ONE, faded info legends as generations passed. Destined for the Political Rise, the ruling body, Mason Wade was the foremost expert in ONE’s governing policies. Mason’s career was dedicated to upholding the policies of ONE and bringing to justice all that conspired against this unified and harmonious society. But past refused to be silent. It came in the form of long-ago poorly disposed of radioactive material, recently detected by the toll to human lives after it re-entered the earth’s atmosphere. Summoned by the President himself, Mason was sent on a mission with a team of technical experts, known as the Centenarians, to search for a solution to the radiation crisis—into the bowels of the mountain fortress guarding the dark, long-forgotten past. Tensions escalate within the team, as radioactive particles continue to infiltrate the atmosphere contaminating all it comes in contact with. Among the clues to solve the radiation problem, a theme rang loud and clear; life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. What would an existential society look like? Their mission, and their trials formed bonds between the Centenarians that would be tested. How does a person avoid the paradox of running fast and hard from attitudes, behaviors, and even a philosophy, to ultimately end up right in the middle of that which you ran so desperately from? The World as Mason knew it had changed. He must decide whose side he was on, even as the current of the Political Rise propelled him towards his destiny.
