The Unity of Being: The Science of Consciousness

What does it mean to encounter Truth directly—not as belief, doctrine, or inherited idea, but as something witnessed in one’s own being? What does the word ‘God’ actually mean? How can one align one’s own consciousness to realise Truth?

This book is a guide to the direct realisation of Reality. It approaches coming to know the Self as an act of “drawing out from within oneself that which lies latent in the Heart.” The means of such self-realisation have been expressed, in different forms, by many of the world’s spiritual traditions. In this work, the author seeks to uncover the underlying principles upon which an informed personal spirituality can be built.

At the heart of the work lies an exploration of the Unity—or Oneness—of Being: the principle of Existence, and the need to cultivate a universal appreciation of Reality if we are truly to realise the singular, universal Truth in all its forms.

Moving beyond devotional language, symbolism and inherited frameworks, this is an exploration of non-dogmatic mysticism: a direct investigation into awareness and the truth of one’s own existence. The emphasis is not on ideas about reality, but on seeing Reality as it is—prior to interpretation, belief or conceptual division.

Written for those sincerely drawn towards knowing Truth for themselves, this book speaks to readers seeking clarity beyond established beliefs, prescribed practices and inherited views. It offers a grounded and uncompromising exploration of spiritual realisation as something discovered within, not adopted from outside.
