This important work of dialog theology considers the non-dual or Advaita Vedanta Hindu philosophical and religious experience and what it might mean for the Christain trinitarian experience of God, based upon belief in the unity and personality of truth. Von Bruck recognizes real differences between Hindu and Christian experiences of God while also finding commonality. Especially indebted to Hegel's and Luther's views of the Trinity, he seeks to arrive at a holistic Christian praxis which speaks to a sin-alienated world in which religions too have been mutually alienated.
