55 pages + 9 copper engraved plates of short hand examples and a paradigm of combination of characters, etc. this copy still uncut and fairly recently rebound or bound for the first time? in plain paper boards and with a paper label down the spine. Advert leaf before title page and this 8th edition with an added plate which is an address to children in shorthand, not included in earlier editions. some age browning to paper and light offset lines from the plates on facing pages, but a nice wide margin copy. We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.
