Deep brown covers with black backstrip and lightly faded gilt titles on spine. Much edge, corner and surface wear with some slitting along gutter of front spine and some loss at top in gutter along back spine. An old sticker for Bacot's Best Liver Pills (the form is an owl) was long ago pasted to the front by some wag of a schoolboy no doubt. Itadds a kind of charm to the book. Lots of problems but the book is complete, square and has a binding with no tears or parting. ; Small 8vo 7½" - 8" tall; 466 pages; There are some names on the endpapers. Also, the book is undated but there is a note that says the owner received the book in 1886, plus there are postmarks (? ! ) on the endpapers for that same year.
