Unleashed!: How a Lost Dog Rescued a Lost Love

"Unleashed!" is a heart-warming memoir dealing with a common misfortune - a beloved pet gone missing - and does so in a way which extends it from being simply a "dog" book, but one which enters into the realms of relationship and spirituality books as well. As Kirkus Reviews put it, "Guerin's skillfully composed chronicle overflows with love, gratitude, moments of mystical serendipity, and endearing, self-deprecating humor." The book is a heart-felt tribute not only to our furry friends, but to the extraordinary people who love and labor on their behalf. "Unleashed!" also shares how two people faced with this extremely stressful situation found the strength to give their all in their search, and in doing so re-discovered the love which had also gone missing between them.

Millions of pet owners know the joy a dog or cat can bring to their lives. Sadly, too many know the pain that comes when their beloved pet goes missing. “Unleashed” tells the true tale of ZeeZee, a cheeky Chihuahua plucked from a kill shelter only to be lost in a dangerous area by a careless pet-sitter. A team of dog-loving strangers emerged, determined to find her. The efforts made in the search led not only to the rescue of a fearful dog turned feral, but to a lagging love that turned lasting.
