David J. Downs is the Clarendon-Laing Professor in New Testament Studies at the University of Oxford and the Laing Fellow of Theology at Keble College. He is coauthor of Introducing the New Testament: Its Literature and Theology (second edition).

Matthew L. Skinner is associate professor of New Testament at Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, Minnesota.
