About the Author

Co-author Al Pearce writes the weekly race updates for Autoweek and was a beat writer in Newport News, VA for many years. He covered NASCAR for more than three decades, and has written several books.

Co-author Jonathan Ingram has written three books on Dale Earnhardt. His most recent book is "CRASH! From Senna to Earnhardt -- How the HANS Device Helped Save Racing."
