A gripping account of one family's courage to live their dream!
A true story
A 17-year-old immigrates to North America from the communist block. His only expectation is to find work and shelter. But what he discovers is that he is free to live his dream in his new homeland.
He marries the love of his life and at the age of 24 they embark on a sailing expedition retracing the footsteps of Captain Cook. They were last seen sailing toward the South Pacific with their eight-month-old baby on their laps and a stack of how to sail books by their side. The rules of civilization no longer apply once they leave the security of North America. Survival takes on a whole new meaning. Their lives are flung upside down when they confront illness, pregnancy, cannibals, sharks and violent storms.
Not only is this an adventurous account of human survival, it is a heart-warming remembrance of the immigrant's childhood and his relationship with his father.
In Search of Love, Adventure & Riches is the first episode in The Unsinkable Spirit series of the King family's twenty-year odyssey. Be prepared for it to grab your heart and send your spirits soaring to new heights!

About the Author
After twenty years of living an adventurous lifestyle filled with change and adversity, including the survival of seven hurricanes, Boris King is now a sought after professional Motivational and Inspirational Speaker presenting to corporate and association clients. He inspires and motivates using his personal adventure stories of sailing 150,000 miles as metaphors for 360 degree success in life. He shares his experience of physically fighting and surviving 7 hurricanes and describes what motivated him to pick up the pieces and start over again. He also uses other stories, ie; 'running out of drinking water' while sailing in the South Pacific, or 'the shark that never said die' - as powerful metaphors for meeting the challenge of change, simply selling, risk-taking and overcoming adversity to realize business and personal success.
Shirley Kings background is in the corporate world as a project assistant for a major global oil company. She traded her professional career to become an adventurer, sailing with her husband and two boys for many years. Her patient personality was an essential ingredient for educating her children as they embraced many new adventures along the way. Consequently she became the vice-president and CFO of Spirit of Adventure Sailing Cruises. With her keen organizational skills, detail-oriented nature and her love for antiques, she was inspired to start one of the largest antique import and retail businesses in Western Canada.
Inspired to share their formula for living life in full color, Boris and Shirley King wrote The Unsinkable Spirit, Episode I, In Search of Love, Adventure & Riches.
