The Unstoppable Power of Mercy and Grace

The Unstoppable Power of Mercy and Grace is a deeply biblical and Christ-centered exploration of two of the most misunderstood truths in Christianity: mercy and grace.

Many define mercy as forgiveness and grace as permission or kindness. But Scripture reveals something far greater. Mercy and grace are not weak emotions or softened holiness—they are powerful expressions of God’s redemptive work through Jesus Christ.

In this theological and pastoral work, Dr. Ed Grefiel carefully distinguishes mercy from grace while showing how both work together perfectly in salvation. Mercy is revealed as God’s holy compassion that withholds the judgment sinners deserve, preserves life, interrupts destruction, and moves toward humanity before humanity ever moves toward Him. Grace is revealed as God’s transforming power through Christ that creates new life, regenerates the heart, empowers holiness, and forms Christ within the believer.

Beginning with common misunderstandings about mercy and grace, the book guides readers through the biblical story of redemption—from God’s preserving mercy in the Old Testament to the transforming grace fully revealed through the Cross of Christ.

Centered on Scripture and anchored in Christ’s finished work, this book addresses:

• the relationship between mercy, grace, justice, holiness, and salvation,
• why mercy cannot forgive apart from the Cross,
• why grace is not permission to sin,
• how grace transforms rather than excuses,
• and how believers can walk daily in the power of Christ.

Written with pastoral clarity and theological depth, this book is both a doctrinal study and an invitation to know God more deeply.

The Unstoppable Power of Mercy and Grace reveals the mercy that preserved you, the grace that transforms you, and the Christ who accomplishes both through His redemptive work.
