This 6.25 x 9.0, 16-page softcover book is the 1970 Keepsake printing by the University Library at U.C. Davis, California. This copy is in fine condition with only a very, very small bit of wear showing along the bottom of the paper cover and the top front corner. Really - - this copy could be termed as 'fine.' The text contains the essay which was taken from a speech by Powell about his life and work as one of California's most authoritative historians and bookmen. The title page and text feature four woodblock ilustrations by Mallette Dean who was certainly one of the favored woodblock of the twentieth century. 16 pages.
