The book. A piece of me that uncovers these questions we typically don’t ask ourselves. “How did I come to be?” This project exposes the origin of identity—the naked. The once pure. I discovered the answers to my question using myself as the examinee. Placing self under heavy examination exploring events, conversation, movies, songs, and anything I could think of that helped me construct David L. Jackson. My hope is the reader too asks these questions of construction. Innocence drives this. “Re-remembering,” fuels this. This is Untitled: Welcome to my mind.

David L. Jackson is an author, motivational speaker, and teacher concerned with the overall construction of identity. A product of the inner city of Miami Dade County Florida, David uses the community to write about the experiences of WE. Carefully exploring everyday interaction from nakedness (birth) down to the position of the now. His motivation stems from a want to uncover questions in which typically are not asked to self. How did I come to be? When was the first time I realized ...? Is this who I really I want to be? His pen is his flashlight uncovering the personal insecurities that often prevent this search for answers to take place. Identity, innocence, and "re-remembering" are his muse. Conversations, events, music, tv shows, songs, and anything he has taken pieces from are the locations he is searching for these answers.
