Tan cloth with gilt-stamped title on front cover, and blindstamped decorations of parallel lines & stars on front cover. Covers show fading, dusting & some brown-staining; pages show age-related tanning and some scattered staining to a few pages. From the personal working library of a Cleveland, Ohio confectioner & ice cream maker. Very scarce item, this was a manual for confectioners to use in their own manufacturing, and not many copies have survived use in the shop. Lists degrees of boiling and candy recipes for large quantites. Partial recipe contents: Cheap M. M.
