Publisher's original tan textured cloth, lettered in brown on the spine and front cover, color pictorial dust jacket with a dramatic color photo of an ural owl landing on the front of the jacket, square sm folio (11.5 x 11.75 inches, 290 x 300 mm). The Ural owl (Strix uralensis) is a medium sized nocturnal owl of the genus Strix, with up to 15 subspecies found in Europe and northern Asia. This owl has an extended distribution area in Europe and Asia, from Sakhalin, Japan and Korea in the east to Scandinavia in the west.
