I Used to Love You Now, Let's Just Be Friends: Redefining My Relationship with Food

Have you ever felt suspicious of people who say they don't like food? I have. What causes one to feel disdain for something that has been with us all our lives, something we literally cannot live without?

I, on the other hand, unapologetically love food. It is not the enemy, and we are not at war. It is a blessing. Being able to engage in an enjoyable relationship with sustenance is a gift.

However, it is important to develop a healthy connection. All successful relationships require intentionality and a willingness to compromise. Love can be genuine and deep without becoming all-consuming or out of control.

Understanding what is required to foster a balanced relationship with food allows us to develop a sustainable and healthy lifestyle.

No gimmicks.

No quick fixes.

No judgment.

Just a thoughtful and straightforward approach to living well.
