However, despite this, there is still scanty research on positive psychology interventions that could be adopted to boost well-being and mental health of students in higher education institutions. This book significantly contributes to the body of knowledge on adoption of holistic perspectives to boost well-being and mental health of students in higher education institutions.

About the Author

Peter JO Aloka is Senior Lecturer at the Wits School of Education, University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa. He holds PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of the Western Cape and an MED in Educational Psychology and BED Hons degrees from Kenyatta University, Kenya. He has lectured in Universities in Kenya and taught in secondary schools in Kenya as well. He was formerly, the Head of Department of Psychology and Educational Foundations, School of Education at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology in Kenya. He has published widely and supervised several postgraduate students both in Kenya and South Africa. He has edited four books and authored several book chapters and articles in internally recognized peer reviewed journals.
